We conceived this page after not only reading about but also observing the somewhat cavalier attitude of some doctors to ordering of CT scans, particular CT pulmonary angiograms!
One anecdote which really fired me up (it may or may not be true) is of a radiologist who, when his young son injured his frontal sinuses jumping on a trampoline, almost gratuitously did complex CT scans and showed everyone the pretty reconstructions! I then really started reading about radiation risks.Why not try a Google search?
